Bridge of Lions 9903 Long the most famous symbol of the nation's oldest city, St. Augustine, Florida, the Bridge of Lions is depicted here as a view from the past and the present. The center panel (panel 2) of this 3 panel set was painted from a photograph taken shortly after the bridge's completion in 1927, which inspired the sepia tone theme of this work. From the 1920s Ford Model T traversing the bridge, to the trolley rail and wire on the original bridge, this piece is a true glimpse into the past.
